Jags on the Prowl

Last night the Jacksonville Jaguars hunted Ravens receivers through out all 4 quarters of the game. Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense displayed the worst offensive game I have ever seen. Starting off the game with three 3 and outs on every single possession. Gaining a grand total of 16 yards of offense in 38 minutes of the game. Anquan Boldin along with Torrey Smith were blanketed by the Jaguars secondary. They got no separation for pretty much the entire game. Along with the receivers being a non factor, the Ravens offensive line was completely rattled by the Jaguars defensive line being pushed off the ball on every play leaving Flacco with happy feet. Now the story is, was this a horrible performance from the Ravens offense? Yes. But the Jags D simply came to play. This Monday night game was full of terrible calls by the referees including simple fumbles that Stevie Wonder could have seen. The Ravens flat out layed an egg! Just as they did in Nashville week two. The ravens defense played their usual smash mouth football only allowing 9 points off three field goals and forcing Jags running back Maurice Jones-Drew to fumble 3 times and a challenge negated a fourth. The only offensive pulse the Ravens showed was in the last 4 minutes of the fourth quarter where they went no huddle and scored a touchdown after a 50 yard pass interference call and a 5 yard td pass from Flacco to Boldin. They got the ball back with 1:48 left and no time outs down 5 points (12-7). Flacco threw an interception with 1:27 left sealing a upset victory for the Jaguars. So are the Ravens still a Super Bowl contender? Yes. But they must go back to going what they always did in the past and thats win on the road against teams that they are suppose to beat! Jack Del Rio's Jags had lost their previous five games and would not stand fur six especially with his job security on their. Baltimore fans don't panic the Ravens ate still 4-2 and are atop the AFC north but they must figure out this offense which had always been their Achilles heal. Flacco looked like a deer in headlights last night. He always looks sleep out there. Time to wake up Flacco your defense is ready!! When will you be? They better get it together next week with the struggling Cardinals defense which is one of the leagues worst. Then it's up to Pittsburgh where they still have the taste of that opening day 38-7 butt kicking they took at m&T Bank stadium. Get it together Ravens or you won't be mentioned with the elite teams in this league.
